1995 winner Andrews backs Springoks-All Blacks final

Cape Town - 1995 Rugby World Cup winner Mark Andrews believes that a South Africa-New Zealand final is still very much on the cards, with the Springboks set to end Japan’s fairy tale run to the quarter-finals.

“They’ve given absolutely everything to win their games, and finish top of their group, and I’m not sure they’ve left anything in the tank,” Andrews said on Wednesday night’s episode of The Dan Nicholl Show.

“It’s been a wonderful run, but I think it comes to an end this weekend.

Andrews also pays tribute to some of South Africa’s stars of the tournament.

“RG Snyman has been very impressive, and has had a big impact, and Cheslin Kolbe is brilliant, just so hard to stop.”

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
