Wellington - Scrumhalf Will Genia says the Wallabies are prepared to resort to "boring" rugby, even to dropped goals, if that's what it takes to win their Rugby World Cup quarter-final against South Africa.
Genia said Australia preferred to stick with its attacking style but would resort to any measures necessary to win Sunday's match at the Wellington Regional Stadium. He bridled a little at the word boring, preferring "effective," but said Australia had to be prepared to play any style the game demanded.
Genia told reporters Saturday the Australian players had trust in each other and trust in their gameplan, which amounted to confidence in their ability to win any match in a tight finish.
