Boks correct Nienaber reports

2011-07-06 09:52

Cape Town - Springbok management has moved to correct reports that Jacques Nienaber had been added to the Springbok management team for the Rugby World Cup.

The highly successful Stormers defensive coach is assisting the team on a short-term basis.

He will shortly return to his duties as part of the Western Province management team for the Currie Cup.

Doesn't matter - he will work with the players in that period of time, and share his systems with both them and Bok management. I am certain he will re-visit the Boks as regularly as what his WP schedule allows in the build up to the World Cup. The important thing is just getting the man involved.

Brilliant insight saffa-cat ... your short [but sharp] inputs is really helping all of us getting a much clearer picture of Jacques involvement! Well done girl.

Why don't YOU give us some insight into anything rugby related old Coetzeetjie? I have asked you for days to post a rugby related comment - yet you refuse? Why? C'monnnnnnnnnn - make our day.

I think pcpcoetzee89 is your wife wanting more attention!

Saffa, won't it be detrimental to the WP Currie Cup campaign if he tells them how the WP defensive systems work?

Does not matter - already signs that Rassie is taking over, thank goodness

@H & P: I wish Balie Swart would be pulled in for a few scrumming sessions.......I believe the AB's have some killer scrum consultant - Cronin. (As if the AB scrum needs improvement.....)

I have just finished reading Jake White's book 'In black and White'. What an eye opener into the (mis)management of our Bok's. Can the Administrators of our national rugby team, please get on with the job of doing THE BEST FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE TEAM and leave out their personal agenda's. If Nienaber is going to add value to the team, give him a contract, let him get on with it. In selections, choose the right man to get the job done - irrespective of colour and give these players contracts. The only priority is the team, and as such all support must be there for them. SARU is the laughing stock of the rugby world with their personal and racist agendas. Anyone who is a bok supporter and has not read the book, do it now!!!

Well, at least one thing that PdV is doing right: he is busy gathering professionals aroud him to assist him in his task. We might even pull this one through if everybody pulls together.

Great, the defensive system is sorted (or at least I hope so). Now, if we can only get a scrum coach...?

      Chuck Norris - 2011-07-06 12:58

Wonder if Snorr even noticed the crusaders klapping the stormers come scrum time? Or does he have selective vision?
