WATCH: All Blacks skipper Read gets away with murder!

2017-11-20 14:03

Cape Town - All Blacks skipper Kieran Read escaped sanction for a cynical foul in New Zealand's narrow 22-17 victory over Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday.

As it happened: Scotland 17-22 New Zealand

The world champion All Blacks already had prop Wyatt Crockett in the sin-bin when No 8 Read got away with an even WORSE infringement!

With the All Blacks down to 14 men in the 72nd minute and with Scotland camped on the New Zealand tryline, Read clearly slaps the ball out of the hands of Scottish lock Jonny Gray while on the ground.

English referee Matthew Carley somehow missed the incident, despite it taking place directly in front of him.

Scotland have never managed to beat New Zealand in 31 Tests over a 112 year period.

Read, 32, has played 109 Tests for the All Blacks.

Note: The incident in question takes place around the one minute mark in the video clip below.
