Rassie will be happy if Boks 'scrape' Pumas win

Cape Town - Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus knows that Argentina will be desperate to reverse the result in Saturday's Rugby Championship clash between the sides in Mendoza.

A 28-man Springbok squad arrives in Argentina on Tuesday and they will have just a few days to get ready for round two of the tournament.

The Boks are coming off a convincing 34-21 win against the Pumas in Durban this past weekend. but the South Americans are always a different prospect on their own soil.

"I know it’s going to be tough. They’ll be up or it," Erasmus said.

"We’re traveling a day later than them, which has some benefits for us but then obviously we get there a day later.

"It gives us another day to analyse and make sure we get the right guys on the park with team selection."

Erasmus was referring to the decision to leave South Africa on Monday as opposed to Sunday, which is usually the case.

"It has always been tough there," he continued.

"We got five points out of this first game and we’re in the mix now, so if we go over there and scrape through a win then we’ll be in this Rugby Championship.

"As desperate as they’re going to be to try and turn it around, we’re as desperate to win."
