Pollard: I’ll be raring to go for Rugby Championship

Cape Town - Flyhalf Handre Pollard is confident that he won’t miss the start of the Springboks’ Rugby Championship campaign.

The 24-year-old missed the Bulls’ final Super Rugby match against the Lions at Ellis Park last weekend due to a back injury.

However, he told Netwerk24 that Springbok fans should not be worried ahead of the Rugby Championship.

“If I rest a bit over the next few weeks, then I’ll be raring to go. I’ll definitely not miss any matches,” Pollard said.

Pollard has established himself as the Springboks’ first-choice flyhalf in 2018 and played a vital role in their 2-1 series win over England last month.

The Boks open their Rugby Championship campaign at home against Argentina in Durban on August 18.
