Cape Town - There is no doubt Saturday's Test between the All Blacks and Springboks in Wellington will go down as one for the ages.

Regardless of which side you were on, there is a good chance you will remember that match for a long, long time.

The Boks emerged as surprise 36-34 winners following a truly epic defensive performance.

There were bodies lying all over the Westpac Stadium turf following Nigel Owens' final whistle as the aftermath of one of rugby's great rivalries was there for all to see.

The Boks were jubilant, the All Blacks gutted.

Yet, in the true spirit of the game, there was a show of mutual respect between the sides following one of the most brutal battles they have ever shared.

Bok scrumhalf Faf de Klerk posted a picture to his Twitter account on Monday that showed him and All Black scrumhalf Aaron Smith swapping jerseys after the match.

"Always good fun playing against this man. Thanx for the swap mate. Enjoyed every moment of that game!!" De Klerk wrote.
