Moody blues for All Blacks ahead of Bok showdown

Cape Town - The All Blacks front row stocks have been dealt another blow after Joe Moody dislocated his shoulder in the All Blacks' 39-22 Rugby Championship win over Argentina.

As it happened: All Blacks v Argentina

Moody has started all seven of the All Blacks' Test matches in 2017 and will be sorely missed ahead of the match against the Springboks in Albany next Saturday.

Moody's injury follows on from the news on Thursday that Owen Franks would be sidelined for the rest of the season to undergo surgery on his Achilles tendon.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expects Moody to be ruled out for the rest of the year after he undergoes an X-ray.

"He's off to get an X-ray and it looks like he'll probably have to have an operation," Hansen said.

"It'll be the end of him for the year I'd say."

Wyatt Crockett is expected to start with Kane Hames brought in to sit on the bench.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
