The scrum goes down in the front row. Reset.

  • 80'

South Africa hold New Zealand up short. Owens calls for a scrum. One last go for the All Blacks.

  • 78'

Lost forward! Great defence from South Africa. New Zealand's handling lets them down again!

  • 78'

South Africa win their scrum and Pollard hurries the ball into touch. New Zealand have another chance ? and they win the lineout inside the Springbok 22.

  • 77'

South Africa cough up possession and allow the All Blacks back onto the attack. They're inside the Springbok 22 now.

  • 75'

Beauden Barrett misses a crucial conversion! South Africa still lead this game by two points. New Zealand will have to do it all over again.

  • 74'

TRY, NEW ZEALAND, SAVEA! 34-36: New Zealand go for the lineout maul and shove the Springboks back almost all the way through their 22. Savea finishes off!

  • 73'

Offside from Snyman. Whiteley is warned by Owens that South Africa are not far away from another yellow card.

  • 71'

South Africa win their scrum and Pollard puts a good kick into touch.

  • 70'

The All Blacks are hitting the Springboks with wave after wave of pressure. However, South Africa are holding firm. Once again, New Zealand knock the ball on.

  • 69'

The All Blacks go for the scrum and look to wear the Springbok defence down, but South Africa manage to drag Ioane into touch. They then take the lineout quickly and clear.

  • 67'

Goodhue surges through the Springbok defence and gives the inside ball to Perenara. A crucial tackle from Whiteley halts the attack. The All Blacks lose the ball forward, but then le Roux is penalised for offside.

  • 67'

YELLOW CARD, SOUTH AFRICA, LE ROUX! Le Roux is sent to the sin-bin for a cynical offside! South Africa will have to see out most of the remainder of this game with 14 men.

  • 65'

New Zealand set up an attacking lineout just short of the Springboks' 22 and keep the ball despite a scrappy piece of play. However, they then lose it forward.

  • 62'

Beauden Barrett's conversion attempt comes off the post, so the Springboks remain seven points in front.

  • 61'

TRY, NEW ZEALAND, TAYLOR! 29-36: This game is far from over! New Zealand go to the tail from a five-metre lineout on the left and shove their way over! Good work from the All Black forwards, with the support of Perenara.

  • 58'

Pollard misses for the first time this evening. His kick goes wide of the left post.

  • 57'

TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, DYANTYI! 24-36: My goodness! The pressure pays off. Jantjies passes out left to Whiteley, who gives it to Dyantyi, who steps inside with a magnificent bit of skill and goes over in the corner!

  • 56'

Le Roux kicks through for Kolbe to chase on the Springboks' right. Beauden Barrett reads it well and gets on the end of it after the bounce.

  • 55'

Cracks are still showing in the All Blacks defence as Malherbe goes through a gap. The Springboks are now very much on the attack.

  • 54'

CONVERSION, NEW ZEALAND, B.BARRETT! 24-31: Brilliant kick from Beauden Barrett! From right next to the touchline, he brings the lead back down to a lone converted try.

  • 52'

TRY, NEW ZEALAND, IOANE! 22-31: Read peels off the back of the scrum and is taken down just short of the line. New Zealand continue to pile on the pressure. They get the ball to Ioane on the left and he goes over right in the corner! TMO Kitt confirms the try!

  • 50'

The crowd gives Hurricanes scrum-half TJ Perenara a fantastic reception as he comes on to replace Aaron Smith for New Zealand.

  • 50'

After a sustained spell of pressure, the All Blacks lose the ball forward on attack... but it isn't over ? Whiteley is penalised for offside.

  • 48'

De Allende goes off injured for the Springboks and Jantjies comes on in his place. Pollard will fill in at 12.

  • 46'

South Africa look to put pressure on New Zealand with the kick in behind, but Jordie Barrett reads it well and gathers.

  • 43'

CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD! 17-31: Pollard adds the conversion with a good kick from the right. South Africa lead by two converted tries.

  • 42'

    PENALTY, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD! 17-24.

  • 42'

HALF-TIME: NEW ZEALAND 17-24 SOUTH AFRICA. Pollard's good kick sends the Springboks into the break ahead. They trailed 12-0 early on, but the All Blacks shot themselves in the foot. New Zealand are usually strong in the closing stages of games, though, and it will be interesting to see what sort of fightback the hosts can put up in the second half.

  • 42'

TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, KOLBE! 17-29: The All Blacks look to build pressure on the Springboks, but Lienert-Brown's pass is intercepted by Kolbe and nobody can catch him from there! Horror start to the half for New Zealand.

  • 41'

The half-time hooter sounds and New Zealand are penalised for hands in the ruck. This is kickable for the Springboks.

  • 41'

Beauden Barrett kicks off the second half. Du Toit takes just outside the Springbok 22. This is going to be an interesting 40 minutes of rugby.

  • 40'

Barrett's conversion attempt from the left fails to curl inside the right post. The Springboks still lead by four.

  • 38'

TRY, NEW ZEALAND, IOANE! 17-21: In the 20th phase of the attack, Ioane is given the ball in space on the left by Lienert-Brown. He goes in for the try!

  • 37'

The build-up continues. Ioane is tackled inside the Springbok 22 on the left. New Zealand are piling on the pressure.

  • 36'

New Zealand look to run their way out from their own territory. Sam Whitelock takes them up to the halfway line.

  • 33'

CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD! 12-21: Pollard's conversion stretches the lead beyond a converted try!

  • 32'

TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, MARX! 12-19: The lineout is well-worked from the Springboks. They struggle to make up ground from the driving maul, but Marx peels away and goes in for the try!

  • 31'

South Africa win their lineout and build up patiently. They win a penalty at the ruck and kick the ball into the corner.

  • 29'

A New Zealand cross-kick goes into touch. They were in control of this game, but their errors have allowed the Springboks onto the front foot. This is a good attacking position from the lineout.

  • 26'

CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD! 12-14: The Springboks take the lead!

  • 25'

TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, LE ROUX! 12-12: Dyantyi's kick in behind goes into touch and Jordie Barrett tries to take the lineout quickly. It's a horrible pass and the Springboks capitalise. Le Roux pounces and goes through to set up a simple conversion!

  • 22'

New Zealand's kick-off doesn't go the full 10 metres. That's poor. Is momentum shifting slightly?

  • 21'

CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD! 12-7: Pollard makes no mistake from a simple kick.

  • 20'

TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, DYANTYI! 12-5: The Springboks hit back! After a sustained spell of pressure, they work their way through a narrow channel on the left. Le Roux sets Dyantyi up for the finish and he runs in under the posts!

  • 17'

CONVERSION, NEW ZEALAND, B. BARRETT! 12-0: Beauden Barrett converts from the right this time.

  • 16'

TRY, NEW ZEALAND, A. SMITH! 10-0: New Zealand move the ball to the right. Some quick hands send Ben Smith through the defence. He passes back inside for Aaron Smith to finish! What a superb break!

  • 14'

The Springboks look to run their way out from the back, but le Roux fumbles the ball and then Dyantyi knocks it forward. Disappointment for South Africa. New Zealand win the scrum and look to run back at them.

  • 11'

The All Blacks get hold of the ball and hit the Springboks on the counter. They're deep inside South Africa's 22... But they lose the ball forward and Pollard goes for a risky cross-kick. It goes straight into touch.

  • 9'

The Springboks have a scrum inside All Black territory. They'll be looking to create something from this.

  • 6'

Beauden Barrett's conversion attempt from the right goes wide of the right post.

  • 5'

TRY, NEW ZEALAND, J. BARRETT! 5-0: So much for that! Off the lineout, New Zealand work the ball to Jordie Barrett, with his brother, Beauden, setting him up with the pop-pass. The full-back goes all the way!

  • 4'

The All Blacks apply the early pressure, but the Springboks defend well and win the turnover, forcing the knock-on.

  • 1'

The Springboks have faced the Haka and Handré Pollard kicks the game off. It's a dreadful start for South Africa as he overcooks it.
