Not flawless, but awful lot to admire about current Springboks. Great composure, spirit and sometimes sublime bits of skill here. FT 41-23.— Rob Houwing (@RobHouwing) August 26, 2017

FULL TIME: The Springboks secure a bonus point victory here in Salta. They have managed a rare away win under their current Management. At times it was not the best of games, but they will be happy with the points.
ARGENTINA 23-41 SOUTH AFRICA.
CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, JANTJIES! 23-41: Jantjies adds the extras.
TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, DU PREEZ! 23-39: A good effort by the Springboks. Once again Jesse Kriel is involved and after seven phases he offloads to Du Preez, to score in the corner.
The Pumas win a penalty for a high tackle by Kitshoff. They win the line-out and drive forward. They then kick through and the bounce favours the Springboks, as Rhule gets their first. Lucky!
PENALTY, SOUTH AFRICA, JANTJIES! 23-34: Landajo is penalised for not releasing the ball. Great work from Marx to turn it over. Jantjies goes for goal and slots a beauty.
The cross-kick from Jantjies to Rhule, goes directly into touch.
Kolisi has had a huge game this afternoon.
The Springboks win another penalty and this time the Pumas are offside at the maul. They find touch seven meters out.
Tuculet is guilty of not releasing the ball and good work from Kolisi to win the penalty. Jantjies finds touch inside the Pumas 22.
PENALTY, ARGENTINA, BOFFELLI! 23-31: Boffelli slots a long range penalty after the Springboks go offside.
TRY, ARGENTINA, TUCULET! 18-31: Tuculet scores after a kick through and some poor tackling from the Springboks. Coetzee is also awarded a YELLOW CARD, after tackling Tuculet after he scored his try.
CONVERSION, ARGENTINA, SANCHEZ! 20-31: Sanchez reduces the deficit.
RED CARD, ARGENTINA, LAVANINI! 13-24: The Springboks win a penalty after a deliberate knock down by Lavanini. As this is effectively his second yellow card in the game, it means RED and he has to leave the field. A second cynical offence leads to his downfall.
PENALTY TRY, SOUTH AFRICA! 13-31: The deliberate knock down is further penalised by a penalty try being awarded. This must be the final nail.
We go through a period of scrappy play, with handling errors from both teams.
CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, JANTJIES! 13-24: Once again he extends the lead.
TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, KOLISI! 13-22: Good interplay between Coetzee and Skosan after a turnover, sets up a good second try for Kolisi. Once again the final pass to Kolisi comes from Jesse Kriel. The move started five meters from the Springbok line.
Mtawarira breaks the line and is now penalised for not releasing the ball. Hernandez finds a good touch.
PENALTY, ARGENTINA, HERNANDEZ! 13-17: Hernandez slots an easy kick.
The Pumas win a penalty and Eben Etzebeth is penalised for offside. They go for goal.
Juan Martin Hernandez starts proceedings in the second half.
ARGENTINA 10-17 SOUTH AFRICA.
CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, JANTJIES! 10-17: Jantjies adds the extras.
HALF TIME: The first half comes to an end. The visitors will be confident for the second half, as they have a well-deserved lead. The Pumas discipline has led them down at times.
TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, JANTJIES! 10-15: The Springboks secure their line-out and go wide. Jan Serfontein breaks the line and offloads well to Jantjies. He stetches and does well to complete the score. The TMO confirms all in order.
YELLOW CARD, ARGENTINA, LEGUIZAMON! 10-10: Leguizamon is yellow carded for a repeat offence. Jantjies finds touch.
The Pumas are penalised again for a scrum infringement. Jantjies finds touch on the Pumas 22.
The Pumas attack is held up by Serfontein and Jesse Kriel and the Springboks secure the turnover.
Jesse Kriel breaks the line and is tackled. The Pumas turn it over and then knocks it on for a Springbok scrum.
The drop goal attempt from Hernandez goes wide. That was a poor option from the Pumas and they should have kept ball in hand.
NO TRY! Coetzee ends up scoring for the Springboks, but the TMO rules that the pass from Kolisi went forward. Poor!
CONVERSION, ARGENTINA, HERNANDEZ! 10-10: The scores are level.
PENALTY, SOUTH AFRICA, JANTJIES! 3-10: The Springboks win a scrum penalty and great work there from Oosthuizen. Jantjies goes for goal and scores!
TRY, ARGENTINA, JOYA! 8-10: A gift for the Pumas, as the Springboks fail to clear after the restart. That was too easy and Joya makes no mistake, as the bounce favours him.
Jantjies intercepts a Pumas move and offloads to Skosan. The attack unfortunately amounts to nothing, as they knock it on near the halfway line.
Hernandez is playing a territorial game, as he looks to play the game in the Springboks half.
CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, JANTJIES! 3-7: Finally he secures a kick!
TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, KOLISI! 3-5: The little kick over the top works for Jantjies. Jesse Kriel then takes it into the Pumas 22 and offloads to Kolisi, who scores!
Lavanini is back on the field now.
Herrera is penalised for being offside, after seven phases by the Springboks. They opt for a scrum 10 meters from the Pumas line.
Argentina has done well to slow it down, while they have a player in the bin.
The Springboks secure a quick line-out. Marx then fumbles a pass from Hougaard and now it's a let of for the Pumas.
A big let off for the Springboks. The ball is intercepted by Argentina in their own 22. They travel all the way to the Springboks 22 and then a cross-kick goes straight into touch. That was a golden opportunity and if they kept ball in hand, they would have scored.
YELLOW CARD, ARGENTINA, LAVANINI! 3-0: Lavanini is penalised for a shoulder charge and is carded. Jantjies finds a good touch.
Jantjies sends his second kick in a row wide!
The Springboks win another penalty, as Lezana goes offside at the ruck. Jantjies will try again.

PENALTY, ARGENTINA, BOFFELLI! 3-0: Boffelli opens his account and Argentina is in the lead.
Malcolm Marx is guilty of not releasing the ball and the Pumas win a penalty inside their own half. They opt to go for goal.
We are underway here in Salta.
The referee is Pascal Gaüzère, from France. He will be assisted by his Countryman, Romain Poite and Nic Berry, from Australia. The TMO is Glenn Newman, from New Zealand.
The teams are out on the field, as we await the National Anthems.
Hello and welcome to this 2017 Rugby Championship clash, between Argentina and South Africa from Estadio Padre Ernesto Marlearena, in Salta.
The two teams have only met twice in Salta before. In 2014, the visitors clinched victory, but in 2016 the hosts recorded an upset win over the men in green and gold.
It has not been the best season for Argentinian rugby. Their Jaguares had a poor season in Super Rugby and the Pumas were very ordinary last weekend.
The main news from the Springbok camp is that Francois Hougaard will replace the injured Ross Cronje, to start at scrumhalf, in this important match. Rudy Paige moves onto the bench as cover for Hougaard.
Argentina has made six changes to their team that was defeated in Port Elizabeth last week. Tomas Cubelli and Juan Martin Hernandez replace Martin Landajo and Nicolas Sanchez. They will have a changed front row with Lucas Noguera and Ramiro Herrera forming the prop combination. Juan Manuel Leguizamón replaces Leonardo Senatore at number eight.
