Kolisi: We've dealt with Mendoza loss

Cape Town - Springbok captain Siya Kolisi says they have put last month’s loss to Argentina in Mendoza behind them as they brace for Saturday’s Rugby Championship encounter against Australia.

The Boks opened their campaign with a 34-21 win over Los Pumas in Durban on August 18, before losing 32-19 the following week in Mendoza.

Kolisi told reporters in Brisbane on Friday that the Boks had a really good week’s training.

“I think we adapted to the weather and jet lag quickly. We have been training a bit later.”

When asked how the players have taken the loss in Mendoza, Kolisi responded: “We have already (dealt with it). We are excited to play this weekend and make sure we give our best again to win away from home. We need this win so we still have a chance to win the competition.”

After Saturday’s Test, the Boks will travel to New Zealand for a clash against the All Blacks in Wellington (September 15), before returning home for the return matches against the Wallabies (Port Elizabeth, September 29) and All Blacks (Pretoria, October 6).

Saturday’s Test in Brisbane kicks off at 12:00 (SA time).
