Cape Town - Disgraced All Black scrumhalf Aaron Smith has closed down his Twitter and Instagram social media accounts, the Stuff.co.nz website reports.
Smith was sent home from South Africa last week for “breaching team standards regarding behaviour” after he was seen walking into a disabled toilet cubicle with a “female friend” at Christchurch Airport the day after the All Blacks had beaten the Boks 41-13 on September 17.
He was banned for one match and missed New Zealand’s record-breaking 57-15 win over South Africa in Durban at the weekend.
Smith has previously been a prolific social media participant but is staying mum since arriving back in New Zealand.
Smith's partner, Tegan Voykovich, has also disabled her Instagram account.
Smith is due to face a New Zealand Rugby disciplinary hearing this week.
