De Allende, Marx rejoin Bok camp

Cape Town - Centre Damian de Allende and hooker Malcolm Marx have rejoined the Springbok camp in Durban after representing Western Province and the Golden Lions, respectively, in the Currie Cup.

De Allende and Marx were released from the camp ahead of last Saturday's Wallaby Test in Pretoria.

De Allende started in midfield for WP as they stumbled past the Boland Cavaliers 30-28 in Cape Town, while Marx played off the bench as the Lions beat the Sharks 28-16 in Johannesburg.

The semi-finals for the Currie Cup will take place on Saturday, October 15.

Wing Lwazi Mvovo, who was also released last week to play for the Sharks, had to undergo an appendix operation and has been ruled out of action.

The Springboks started their preparations for the All Blacks clash with a session at a La Lucia gymnasium.

They will announce their match-23 on Thursday.
