Cape Town - Springbok scrumhalf Ross Cronje is an injury concern for Saturday's Rugby Championship opener against Argentina in Port Elizabeth.
Cronje sustained a shoulder injury while on Lions duty in their Super Rugby final loss to the Crusaders at Ellis Park two weekends ago, and a decision on his availability for Saturday will only be taken later in the week.
The 28-year-old was impressive for the Boks in their 3-0 series triumph over France, playing two of those matches, as he took a significant step towards becoming the first-choice Bok No 9.
If he does not recover in time, Francois Hougaard will likely be given the scrumhalf responsibilities while Rudy Paige is the other option.
Saturday's match will kick off at 17:00.
