Coles set to start for All Blacks in Dunedin

Dunedin - New Zealand hooker Dane Coles is set to be in his team's starting line-up when they host Australia in their Bledisloe Cup rematch in Dunedin on Saturday.

That was the word from All Blacks assistant coach Ian Foster who said Coles had impressed in his return to training.

Coles missed the All Blacks' 54-34 win over the Wallabies in Sydney as a precaution after sustaining another head knock in the world champions' 'Game of Three Halves' warm-up clash with provincial sides Taranaki and Counties Manukau prior to their Rugby Championship opener.

He last played a Test nine months ago and since March has played just 90 minutes in the Super Rugby play-offs for the Hurricanes due to on-going concussion symptoms.

Foster suggested the 30-year-old's return could relegate Codie Taylor to the replacements bench in Dunedin on Saturday.

"He trained really well," said Foster.

"He had a good week last week actually. He's come through today really well."
