Cape Town - Victory for the Springboks against Argentina in Salta on Saturday is considered crucial as they look to continue their rise in 2017.
The Boks are coming off a solid 37-15 win against the Pumas in their Rugby Championship opener last weekend, and if they win this weekend they will make it five wins from five for the year.
While they go into the match as favourites, the Springboks will still have to break new ground if they are to emerge with the win.
In his 16 matches since taking over as Springbok coach last year, Allister Coetzee has never won a match away from home.
His overall record currently stands at eight from 16, but away from home he has played six, lost six.
Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, England, Italy and Wales all beat the traveling Springboks last year.
A South African victory would also take Coetzee's overall win percentage to over 50% for the first time since the end of the Ireland series in June last year.
Kick-ff on Saturday is at 21:40 (SA time).
