Bookies back Boks to beat Wallabies

Cape Town - Despite their horror defeat to the All Blacks, the Springboks will bounce back to beat Australia in their next Rugby Championship clash, local bookmakers believe.

South Africa’s 57-0 defeat to New Zealand in Albany on Saturday was the heaviest in the history of Springbok rugby.

The Boks had entered the Test unbeaten in six outings in 2017, but received a rude awakening against their fierce rivals.

The weekend prior, the Springboks drew 23-all with Australia in Perth and according to bookmakers they will beat the Wallabies in Bloemfontein on September 30.

Leading SA bookies Sportingbet are predicting a 7-point victory for the Springboks.

Meanwhile, Sportingbet have installed the All Blacks as 23-point favourites to beat Argentina in their next clash. A victory by any margin will ensure a 15th Rugby Championship title for New Zealand.

The Boks will conclude their Rugby Championship campaign against New Zealand in Cape Town on October 7.
