All Blacks win over fans as they settle into Buenos Aires

Cape Town - The All Blacks have been labelled "cordial, kind and accessible" as they settle into Buenos Aires ahead of their Rugby Championship Test against Argentina this weekend.

Kick-off is at 00:40 on Sunday SA time.

According to the Stuff website, Steve Hansen's side arrived early in the Argentina capital to get over jet-lag and don't start intensive training until Monday.

The squad spent Sunday at a variety of locations, starting with autographs and "selfies" outside the team hotel.

Split into groups and armed with a map they were set an orientation test as they navigated the city in the spring heat.

Trying the local language and using the currency were among the assignments.

Hooker Codie Taylor, midfielder Sonny Bill Williams and wing Reiko Ioane visited a barber to get tidied up, others relaxed at cafes and bakeries while Beauden Barrett later led a delegation to golf and some players hit the gym.

Writing in La Nacion, Frernando Vergara said while the All Blacks were almost unbeatable on the field, away from it they exhibited "a simplicity" that showed they were human and gracious.

Williams later acted as a waterboy, handing out drinks at the Buenos Aires marathon.

The All Blacks are six points ahead of the Springboks atop the Rugby Championship standings with two matches to play.

A bonus-point victory for the All Blacks will therefore be enough to lift the trophy with a match to spare, regardless of how the Boks fair against the Wallabies in Port Elizabeth next Saturday.
