Cape Town - According to French media, Springbok scrumhalf Ruan Pienaar, currently at Ulster, is set to join European champions Toulon.
French sports newspaper L’Equipe has reported that Pienaar has accepted a two-year deal with the French Top 14 and European champions, which would bring an end to his three year stay in Ireland.
Pienaar would join an already strong South African contingent at Toulon as fellow Springboks, Bryan Habana, Michael Claassens, Joe van Niekerk, Bakkies Botha, Danie Rossouw and Juan Smith are at the club.
Toulon have not ended their pursuit of South Africa's best players as they have also been linked with moves for the Sharks' Craig Burden, while Schalk Burger, who is currently preparing for a return to competitive action, is also said to be courted by the mega-rich French club.
