"We're thrilled to give fans who missed out another chance to see the All Blacks," said Neil Sorensen, New Zealand Rugby Union General Manager Professional Rugby.
According to the allblacks.com website, the seats are located at the western end of the ground in front of the existing temporary seats and are being sold as restricted view seats, priced at NZ$40 (R268) and NZ$80 (R536).
The sale of these seats will mean around 29 000 will be attending the first Test to be held at Forsyth Barr Stadium following its successful hosting of four Rugby World Cup 2011 matches last year. This is a record for a sporting fixture at the stadium.
Sorensen said with Eden Park a sell-out for this weekend's second Bledisloe Cup Test and with Forsyth Barr Stadium likely to sell out, the last chance for fans to see the All Blacks play at home this year will be in Wellington against Argentina on Saturday, September 8.
Just under 39 000 fans turned up at Newlands last weekend to watch the Springboks play Argentina.
