Ellis Park on lockdown

Johannesburg - Roads around the Ellis Park Stadium will be closed on Saturday due to the match between the Springboks and the All Blacks, Johannesburg metro police said.

"At 08:00 [Saturday] the left lane on Sivewright Road will be cordoned off due to limited parking space," spokesman Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said on Friday."

"Currey, Susie, Miller, Dawe, and Gous streets will not be accessible."

Minnaar encouraged fans to make use of the park-and-ride facilities where busses would be available to take them to the stadium.

Busses would be available at the East Rand Mall, Clearwater Mall, Melrose Arch, Cresta Shopping Centre, Cedar Square, Centurion Mall, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, Greenstone Shopping Centre, and Alberton City.

"The roads will be reopened at 22:00," Minnaar said.
