Potgieter setback for Bulls

Johannesburg - The Bulls will be without former Kings player Jacques Potgieter when they take on the Eastern Cape franchise in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

Potgieter is suffering from a back strain and will not be considered for the first Bulls outing of the 2012 season. He is expected to be back on the field in a month.

Coach Frans Ludeke indicated that some frontline players will not be considered for this compulsory friendly, but will rather play against the Cheetahs in Polokwane in two weeks.

He will be without Akona Ndungane (hamstring) and Werner Kruger (back) who are recovering from short term injuries, as well as Wynand Oliver (wrist), Morn Mellett (shoulder), Warwick Tecklenburg (shoulder), Fudge Mabeta (knee) and Rossouw de Klerk (foot), who will all be returning to the fray in the next couple of months.
