The Springbok sat down for an interview with RugbyRocks.com's Lerato Mkhondo:
How's the lockdown been for you so far?
The Cheetahs travel a lot during the rugby season, so spending time with my wife and kids has been really amazing. We've entered the fourth week of the lockdown and it's starting to get a bit boring at home and the days are getting longer, but it’s for a good cause. This is the only way to keep everyone safe.
What are you missing the most?
Going to training, although I am keeping fit at home. My wife and I love going to coffee shops so we both miss that.
Which team-mate do you miss the most?
That's a tough one! I just miss training and spending time with a group of friends. I miss the banter in the dressing room and at training.
Which team-mate do you think is not coping with the lockdown?
It's probably the youngsters, who are always keen on going out on weekends. I think it's mostly the single guys who are struggling the most, though!
What are you watching on TV?
I enjoy the property programmes on DStv. I'm also catching up on MasterChef Australia.
What's the first thing you're going to do after the lockdown?
Sending my kids back to school! It’s been fun spending time with them but homeschooling is tough!
