Cape Town - The Southern Kings are making a move to bring Western Province hooker Scarra Ntubeni to Port Elizabeth.
According to Netwerk24, Kings coach Deon Davids has already spoken to the 27-year-old about the prospect of playing PRO14 rugby with the Eastern Cape franchise.
"We have had a good conversation," Davids was quoted as saying by the Afrikaans website.
"Scarra comes from the area and I think he will be a great asset for us.
"He has suffered a lot of injuries recently and it might be good for his confidence to play for us in the PRO14."
Ntubeni has fallen behind Springbok Bongi Mbonambi in the Newlands pecking order while Schalk Brits has also been linked with a move to the Stormers ahead of the new Super Rugby season.
Born in King Williams Town, Ntubeni would certainly be guaranteed more starting berths if he was to make the move to the Kings.
