Cape Town - Former Bulls duo Bjorn Basson and Ulrich Beyers have reportedly agreed to join the Southern Kings ahead of the PRO14.
The Kings’ chief operating official (COO) Charl Crous told the HeraldLIVE website that an official announcement regarding the signings will be made in due course.
Basson, who played 11 Tests for the Springboks between 2010 and 2013, joined French club Oyonnax as a medical joker last December, but was released in July. He played for the Bulls between 2011 and 2016 but also represented the Cheetahs, Griquas and Stormers.
Beyers left the Bulls in 2014 for a season-long stint at French club Bordeaux before moving to Italian club Zebre in 2015. He returned to the Bulls the following year.
The Southern Kings endured a torrid debut season in the PRO14, winning only one of 21 games.
They will open their 2018/19 campaign away against Italian side Zebre on September 1.
