Cape Town - Former Springbok prop Robbie Kempson has committed to the Kings until the end of the PRO14 season as a forwards coach.

The news was confirmed on the Kings Army Facebook page over the weekend.

According to the post, Kempson will join coach Deon Davids on a permanent basis that will see him travel with the team for their home and away fixtures.

It has been another difficult season for the Kings having won just 1 of their 10 fixtures to sit at the bottom of Conference B.

They are next in action when they take on Edinburgh at Murrayfield on January 5.

Kempson, who has worked this year as SuperSport commentator and analyst, notched up 37 Test caps for the Boks between 1998 and 2003.
