Cape Town - Free State Rugby has announced that the PRO14 match between Ospreys and the Cheetahs on Saturday at 19:35 (SA time) in Swansea will not be broadcast on TV.

The reason is that the 2017/18 PRO14 championship was finalised in a short amount of time and that TV broadcasting rights were the cause of some challenges.

This match clashes with football and the fact that Ierland and Wales will be playing in a Six Nations match.

The TV programmes and broadcasts for the new season (from September 1, 2018) are currently under discussion.

Meetings in this regard will be held next week and next month in Dublin.

The Cheetahs, meanwhile, are third in Conference A having won eight of their 15 matches so far this season.

Supporters can still follow the game on one of the following platforms:

- Facebook/CheetahsRugby

- Twitter/CheetahsRugby

- Cheetahs Rugby App available for Apple and Android phones
