Bloemfontein - Cheetahs flank Oupa Mohoje could make his return to the side for Friday's PRO14 clash against Leinster in Bloemfontein.
Mohoje has been out of action since mid-August when he picked up a rib injury in a Currie Cup clash against the Blue Bulls.
But the 17-Test Springbok is back in the selection mix.
"Oupa will definitely be considered," Cheetahs coach Rory Duncan told Netwerk24.
"A player of his caliber will add a lot of value to the team ... it's nice to finally have him back."
The other news for the Cheetahs on the injury front is that flyhalf Fred Zeilinga has returned to training after undergoing hip surgery while Niel Marais (shoulder) is back training in the gym.
Zeilinga will still be out for another four weeks while Marais is only expected back in January.
The Cheetahs won their first game in the PRO!4 last weekend when they beat Zebre 54-39.
On Friday, Toyota Stadium will host a double-header as the Free State Cheetahs take on the Pumas in a Currie Cup clash at 17:30 before the Cheetahs host Leinster in the PRO14 at 20:00.
