Pretoria - The Bulls have released midfielder Dries Swanepoel to train with Munster as cover for the injuries that the Irish club has at the moment ahead of their PRO14 match against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Friday.
Kick-off is at 19:35.
According to the supersport.com website, Swanepoel, who was left out of the initial Super Rugby Bulls squad by coach John Mitchell, is seen as short-term cover for injuries and is dependent on him obtaining a work permit.
In the meantime he will train with the Irish club.
The Bulls confirmed the short-term move in a brief statement.
“The Blue Bulls Company would like to confirm that centre Dries Swanepoel has been invited to join Munster this week while they are in Cape Town. It is envisaged the 25-year-old will join the Irish club as injury cover on a short-term loan signing, subject to being granted a valid work permit.
“This is a great opportunity for Swanepoel and we wish him well on this venture.”
Munster are currently in Cape Town and will arrive in Bloemfontein on Thursday for their game on Friday against the Cheetahs.
