Cape Town - Springbok loose forward and Scarlets No 8 Uzair Cassiem has suffered a leg injury in a pre-season friendly against Bath and will miss the start of the PRO14 season.

The 28-year-old, who played in eight Test matches under Allister Coetzee over 2016 and 2017, picked up the injury this past Friday.
The former Cheetah underwent a scan on Tuesday, which revealed a calf injury.
He is expected to make a full recovery and return to action within four weeks.
Scarlets are away at Ulster on Saturday in their first match of the new season.
