London - Northampton Saints and former Springbok tighthead Brian Mujati will leave for French Top 14 club Racing Metro at the end of the season.

According to the BBC website, Mujati, 28, is eager for a new challenge and has decided not to take the option of a third year on his Saints contract.

Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder said: "We will be disappointed if he goes but you can't blame him."

"If teams come in from France who've got a bottomless pit (of money), and want to buy a front row, that's what they're doing."

Zimbabwe-born Mujati, has 12 caps for the Springboks after making his debut on June 7, 2008 against Wales in Bloemfontein. He has scored three tries in the Green and Gold.

Great ambassador for Zimbabwe. I'm sure he'll do well in France as well. Already honored with British citizenship...what more do we want fron the guy? Lets praise the guy for the good work he has done on the rugby field. One great thing about him though: he keeps quiet and just play his rugby, irrespective what the South Africans say...government; sa rugby; fans...if you like the way he plays, just watch Racing Metro

Truly an ambassador for the people from the townships of Africa. Brian has done his bit to unify the different races of SA through sport. He ignored all the negatives thrown at him by members of an ethnic group in SA and concentrated on what he knows best. Arguably the best tighthead in world rugby. All the best
