Michalak set for Cardiff return

Toulon - Toulon's France international Frederic Michalak is on the mend following a shoulder injury and should be fit for their European Cup tie against Cardiff, club manager Bernard Laporte said on Monday.

"We're hopeful that Michalak will return in Cardiff (on October 19)," Laporte said. It had been hoped that the scrumhalf would be fit for the European Cup tie at home against Glasgow on October 13.

Michalak, 30, has already returned to light training and is set to train fully with the team from next week.

His dislocated shoulder injury was a blow for Toulon already hit by the four-week suspension of fellow halfback Sebastien Tillous-Borde for rucking against Montpellier.
