Cape Town - Lions lock Etienne Oosthuizen will join Jake White's Australian Super Rugby side, the Brumbies, later this year.

Oosthuizen has signed a two-year contract and will join his new team-mates on November 1.

Oosthuizen joins Josh Strauss in leaving the Lions franchise in the past week alone.

According to the Volksblad website, Oosthuizen has been lured to Australia with an eye on him qualifying for the Wallabies in due course.

Oosthuizen, who tips the scales at 120kg and measures 1.98m in height, was last year named as one of the Lions' Under-19 players of the year.

Well if Jake can fill up his team with more Saffas players, there will be no need for the Kings or Lions to take part in the Super Rugby competion, that will be our 5th team then, thank you!
