  • marcus.vermaak - 2013-01-15 13:59

Awesome! Well done lions! Oh and GO LIONS GO! (I think with this Kings saga, the Lions have won some support.)

      andrebotes1982 - 2013-01-15 23:33

Jip they have won support but have they won games?

  • Hanjo.0 - 2013-01-15 14:08

Good to see Benoni Boytjie, Gavin Annandale in the squad.

Great balance between young and experienced players. This will also be a good year for Johan Ackerman to improve his coaching skills (not that he need that much!!). With John Mitchell in the background assisting Johan and different opposition with different ways of playing he will improve a LOT this year!! CC finals here we come!! GO LIONS!!

Have to be honest I will be supporting the other franchises in the Super Rugby format except the Kings. my loyalty lies with the Lions so if they are playing during a super rugby game don't visit me if you want to watch the super rugby cause i will be watching the Lions play. If you want to watch the Kings play at my house please take note a ask a few of R 1 million to get into my house but don't expect me to be there to open the door. GO LIONS

Just one observation, not trying to create a S#&T storm, but which are these are players of colour? The only one I can see/identify is Tshibidi. Just interesting to see.

      hanno.vanhelsdingen - 2013-01-15 15:00

Why do you observe this. It has no place in sport. A player is a player no matter what the colour if its skin. Bandise maku is playing fir the k

      Hanjo.0 - 2013-01-15 15:22

it is an interesting observation and I agree that one player from the whole squad is strange.

      gert.swart.393 - 2013-01-15 15:22

No colour, only players. No AA, only merit! Get over it!

      nick.gates.37 - 2013-01-15 15:46

Hey guys, as I was saying, just an observation. I also believe one should be selected on merit across all sports. Just interested to see that's all, just wondered where all the players went and you right I should get over it; I will man up, wipe away my tears, return my tutu, close my dance shop and get rid of my hidden agenda. How dare I make such a blasphemous comment.

      louis.bensch.31 - 2013-01-18 09:24

Jip, they all went to kots se pa..

  • morne.vandyk.58 - 2013-01-15 14:58

Only one black player in the group. They will never be allowed back in S15 with that group.

      frank.grootboom - 2013-01-15 19:38

Agree but they cry about the Kings with 10 black-players in their squad, All ways new that they are a bunch of soar grapes hipocrates. Now they can't ask themselves the question about the Lions with only 1 or 2 black-players.

  • wesley.botha.547 - 2013-01-15 16:00

LMGA as hul die kings en n paar ander groot name in die S15 opwarm wedstryde wen

  • frank.grootboom - 2013-01-15 19:52

Where is the transformation & developement in this Lions - squad but they kept makeing these types of comments about the Kings. Totally double standards or hipocrates, take your pick!! They will hopefully leave the Kings alone from now onwards. Can't they just wait for after the 9th Feb and see if the Kings is going to perform worse then the Lions during the 2013 Super rugby competition or not! Let me remind the Lions supporters to stop being in denial...You are out of Super rugby...get over it....accept it because all the sulking in the world is not going to help nor your bad comments because we simply Don't Care.....!

      lesbeen - 2013-01-16 08:35

The lions are not the team that shouted from the hills and built their case for super rugby on transformation... We build everything we do on rugby merit alone! The Kings can't gain from the warm-up game because the Lions are playing with a weakend side due to super rugby loans. If you win, it's against a half strength Lions team... The Lions win, you lost against an under-strength team... It can't end well for the Kings! Atleast I know one thing... The scoreline will not be 77-7?

  • emmanuel.roodt - 2013-01-16 07:37

WOW!! This is an amazing time for the Lions! Mmmm big day for the Lions on February 9th.
