Junior Boks at full strength

Cape Town - SARU have on Monday announced a near full-strength Junior Springbok team to face Argentina Under-20 on Tuesday in Stellenbosch, in the second of three friendly internationals between the countries.

SA Under-20 coach Dawie Theron made 11 changes from the team that overwhelmed Los Pumitas in the first encounter between the sides last Friday in Saldanha Bay on the West Coast.

Theron retained the lock pairing of JD Schickerling and Dan du Preez, as well as the front row duo of Dayan van der Westhuizen and Mox Mxoli.

Jesse Kriel, Andr Esterhuizen, Neil Maritz, Clyde Brink and Schickerling who featured in the Vodacom Cup quarter-finals over the weekend were selected in the starting line-up for Tuesday's clash.

According to Theron, the intention was always to field the strongest possible team in the match.

"With the exception of Handre Pollard and Thomas du Toit, who are busy with Super Rugby commitments, this is as close as we could possibly get to selecting a full strength team," Theron said.

"We know from past experience that the Argentineans have always delivered their best performance of the tour in the second match. Adding to that, they will be hurting from their loss in Saldanha, and we can, therefore, expect a tough match against a highly motivated Argentina outfit."

The South Africa Under-20 team to face Argentina Under-20:

15 Jesse Kriel, 14 Lloyd Greeff, 13 Dan Kriel, 12 Andre Esterhuizen, 11 Niel Maritz, 10 Jean Luc Du Plessis, 9 JP Smith, 8 Rikus Bothma, 7 Cyle Brink, 6 Thabo Mabuza, 5 JD Schickerling, 4 Dan Du Preez, 3 Dayan van der Westhuizen, 2 Malcolm Marx, 1 Mox Mxoli
