Joost's book court day delayed

Cape Town - Former Springbok scrumhalf Joost van der Westhuizen's court application to prevent the publication of a book about his marriage to Amor Vittone has been delayed until Wednesday.

Van der Westhuizen's attorney, Ferdi Hartzenberg, claims the health of his client, who has advanced Motor Neuron Disease (MND), could be adversely affected by the publication of the book, written by journalist Gavin Prins.

According to the Beeld website, the application was delayed by the Pretoria High Court on Tuesday morning.

The book, with the working title, “Joost and Amor - agter die skerms” (Joost and Amor - behind the scenes), was set for publication in early October.

The case will now he heard at 10:00 on Wednesday.
