Injury setback for Gurthrö

Toulouse - Toulouse's South African international prop Gurthrö Steenkamp, who has played just 40 minutes for the French side, has suffered a hip injury, the club's manager Guy Noves revealed on Wednesday.

"It's a tear in the hip, a little bone has moved," said Noves, ahead of Toulouse's European Cup trip to Harlequins on Friday.

Steenkamp joined up with Toulouse after teh Springboks were eliminated from the World Cup, but has only played half a game so far, against Stade Francais on October 29.

"I hope he returns as quickly as possible, but it's the medical staff's job to be prudent."

Noves has suffered a string of setbacks in the front row this season with Steenkamp's fellow props Daan Human and Johnston Falefa both on the sidelines.

Against Harlequins, Falefa remains an uncertain starter but his uncle Census Johnston could start.
