Dunedin - All Blacks hooker Andrew Hore has completed a move to the Highlanders for next year's Super Rugby competition.
According to the stuff.co.nz website, Hore, who was unwanted by the Hurricanes, has signed a one-year deal with the southern franchise and the move represents a move 'home' of sorts - he has a farm in Maniototo but has spent the past decade playing away from Otago.
Hore joins fellow All Blacks Piri Weepu (Blues), Ma'a Nonu (Blues) and Aaron Cruden (Chiefs) as Hurricanes who have signed for other New Zealand franchises next year in the wake of a tumultuous 2011 campaign under new coach Mark Hammett.
Other senior players, most notably prop Neemia Tialata, are heading overseas.
All Blacks wing Hosea Gear could also head to the Highlanders and is rated a 50-50 chance of doing so.
Hore, who played his 52nd Test in Wellington last Saturday against South Africa, will join Jason Rutledge in battling for the hooker starting spot.
