Cape Town - Rumours are doing the rounds that former Springbok assistant coach Gary Gold could be the next head coach of the Eastern Province Kings.
Gold was released from his Director of Rugby position at English club Bath in December, and according to Die Burger's website, the Kings have shown interest in his services for a while now.
With Matt Sexton last month opting to head back to New Zealand, the Kings are looking to fill their head coaching position.
The Kings have remained mum on when they will announce their new coach, but recently appointed Michael Horak (defence coach) and Carlos Spencer (backline coach) as assistants on five-year deals.
The Kings will resume training for the 2014 season on Tuesday, with more news regarding a head coach expected soon.
