Zas linked with move back to WP

Cape Town - Sharks utility back Leolin Zas has been linked with a return to Western Province and the Stormers after a troubled two seasons in Durban.

Afrikaans publication Netwerk24 reported on Monday that the move could be confirmed in the near future.

The 23-year-old wing/fullback signed with the Sharks at the end of 2017 but has struggled for game time in Durban.

He has suffered a string of injuries and found himself behind Springboks Makazole Mapimpi and S'bu Nkosi in the pecking order.

In 2016, Zas shined for the Stormers when he scored eight tries in 15 Super Rugby appearances.

But a broken leg at the start of the 2017 season was the last time he featured for the Cape franchise.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
