Cape Town - Western Province have lost the services of wing Kobus van Wyk, who has been allowed to join French club Bordeaux Begles, Netwerk24 reports.
This follows after news broke that fullback Jaco Taute would join Irish club Munster.
Both Taute and Van Wyk were in the Western Province starting team for last Friday’s Currie Cup clash against the Free State Cheetahs at Newlands.
The WP Rugby Union did not officially announce the duo’s departure, but they are seemingly lost to the union.
Springbok Sevens star Werner Kok is set to replace Van Wyk at wing for Saturday’s Currie Cup clash against the Eastern Province Kings in Port Elizabeth, while another Blitzbok - Cheslin Kolbe - is likely to replace Taute.
Meanwhile, utility forward Rynhardt Elstadt is reportedly also being hunted by French club, Toulouse, but will remain with WP for the Currie Cup.
