Torsten leads Cheetahs against Lions

Cape Town - Free State Cheetahs coach Franco Smith has named his team for Thursday night’s Currie Cup clash against the Golden Lions in Bloemfontein (19:00 kick-off).

Smith has made a few changes to the team that beat the Sharks 38-30 in Durban last weekend.

Torsten Van Jaarsveld has been made skipper for this game, taking the captain’s armband from Tian Meyer who shifts down to the bench.
    
Shaun Venter replaces Meyer at scrumhalf.

In other changes to the backline, William Small-Smith replaces Michael Van der Spuy at inside centre, while Niel Marais comes in for Fred Zeilinga at flyhalf.
