Cape Town - The Blue Bulls will have lock RG Snyman back for this weekend’s Currie Cup Premier Division clash against the Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.
Bulls team doctor Herman Rossouw confirmed that Snyman, 21, returned to training on Monday - after he sustained an ankle injury playing for SA ‘A’ against the England Saxons in June.
The 2.06m giant had a breakthrough season for the Bulls in Super Rugby this year.
There was, however, also bad news with Rossouw reporting two injuries from last Friday’s 45-26 win over Western Province in Pretoria.
Centre Dries Swanepoel suffered a quad injury. He underwent a scan on Monday and a call on his availability will be made later in the week.
Wing Jade Stighling suffered an undisclosed injury and Rossouw said the flyer is unlikely to feature in the next four weeks.
Loose forwards Nick de Jager (hamstring) and Roelof Smit (quad strain) and wing Travis Ismaiel (groin) are also unlikely to partake in training this week - but should be back from next week.
Saturday's clash in Bloemfontein is scheduled for 17:10.
