Cape Town - The Eastern Province Kings confirmed on Tuesday that Michael Willemse has been recalled by Western Province from his loan period in Port Elizabeth.

Willemse, who had been appointed Kings vice-captain, has been recalled following injury to Province’s Scarra Ntubeni.

Willemse had been on loan until the end of the season before the injury struck.

Barend Pieterse, EP Kings Head coach, thanked Willemse for his efforts and contribution to the Kings and wished him well for the remainder of the season.

Pieterse added that the Kings had excellent resources in the No 2 jersey with Martin Bezuidenhout, Warwick Venter and Cullen Collopy all available for selection.
