Lions wing ruled out for rest of season

Johannesburg - The Golden Lions have received a massive blow to their Currie Campaign with the news that wing Madosh Tambwe has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old Zaire-born star dislocated his ankle in Saturday's 47-14 win over the Free State Cheetahs at Ellis Park, and the news from the union on Tuesday was not good.

Prop Johannes Jonker, meanwhile, has recovered from his stinger and will be available for selection this weekend when the Lions take on Western Province in Johannesburg.

Both sides go into the clash having picked up maximum points so far this season. The Lions have won three from three while WP have won two from two.

Kick-off on Saturday is at 15:00.
