Lions welcome back Bok front row duo

Cape Town - Golden Lions coach Johan Ackermann has named his team for Saturday’s Currie Cup semi-final against the Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein (15:00 kick-off).

Flank Kwagga Smith again captain the men from Johannesburg who welcome back the return of Springboks Julian Redelinghuys, Malcolm Marx and Faf de Klerk.

Redelinghuys and Marx will start in the front row, but De Klerk has been named on the bench, with Ross Cronje preferred at scrumhalf.

Howard Mnisi (knee), Courtnall Skosan (groin), Dylan Smith (shoulder) and MB Lusaseni (finger) were unavailable for selection, as well as Springboks Warren Whiteley, Jaco Kriel, Franco Mostert, Elton Jantjies and Lionel Mapoe, who have all joined their Japanese clubs for the remainder of the season.
