Lions face injuries, missing Boks

Cape Town - The Golden Lions have been hit by some injuries ahead of their Currie Cup semi-final against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Saturday while a number of Springboks have left to join their Japanese clubs.

Howard Mnisi (knee), Courtnall Skosan (groin), Dylan Smith (surgery on shoulder) and MB Lusaseni (finger) will all miss out on the action this weekend.

The Lions are also unable to call upon the services of Springboks Warren Whiteley, Jaco Kriel, Franco Mostert, Elton Jantjies and Lionel Mapoe who have all joined their Japanese clubs for the remainder of the season.

They do however welcome back Faf de Klerk, Julian Redelinghuys and Malcolm Marx, who will all be available for selection for the semi-final.

Saturday's match in Bloemfontein is scheduled for 15:00.
