Bok discard Marx benched by Lions

Cape Town - Golden Lions coach Johan Ackermann has named his team for Friday’s crucial Currie Cup clash against the Sharks in Johannesburg.

Hooker Malcolm Marx, who was released from the Springbok squad on Monday, has been picked on the bench, with Robbie Coetzee occupying the No 2 jersey.

Ruan Dreyer will also start at tighthead prop in place of Julian Redelinghuys, who has joined the Springboks.

As part of the team’s rotation system, Ross Cronje and Andries Coetzee start at scrumhalf and fullback respectively.
