Good and bad news for Bulls on injury front

Pretoria - The Blue Bulls have two new injury concerns following their 51-15 Currie Cup loss to the Pumas in Nelspruit last weekend.

Lock Abongile Nonkontwana fractured his hand on will be out for between four and six weeks, while loose forward Boom Prinsloo took a hard knock to his hip and will not be available for selection this week.

There is however some light at the end of the tunnel, with key players on the mend.

Utility backs Duncan Matthews and Jade Stiglingh, as well as flank Shaun Adendorff have all recovered and will be available for selection for Friday’s clash against Griquas at Loftus Versfeld (18:15 kick-off).

Centre Burger Odendaal is also recovering well and should be available for selection after the bye week.

The Bulls have lost their last four games and are languishing in sixth position on the overall Currie Cup standings.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
