Cape Town - They may not have made it into the main event, but the Golden Lions have been crowned Provincial Championship winners in both the U-19 and U-21 categories.

The men from Johannesburg won both of those tournament finals on Saturday, both coming against Western Province.

The U-19 game was incredibly one-sides, with the Golden Lions emerging 60-19 victors having lef 34-7 at half time.

The U-21 game, though, was a much tighter contest.

In the end, it was the Lions who triumphed 38-34.

The main event is the Currie Cup final, which sees the undefeated Free State Cheetahs take on the Blue Bulls.
